UIDAI permits the users of Aadhaar cards to change their address with no need for the need for documentation. Aadhaar cardholders can change their address if they are willing to accept the authentication from the address verification. An address verifier can be a family member, friend or landlord that allows the Aadhaar card user to utilize their address for proof.
UIDAI has stopped the facility. UIDAI was notified by an Aadhaar Card Holder by tweeting that the ability to update the address on Aadhaar Card using an Address Validation Form has been discontinued. UIDAI has requested that the Aadhaar issuer to notify users to update their address by using another genuine PoA document.
Dear Resident: The address Validation Letter service has been taken off until the next notice. Kindly request your address update using another valid PoA document from the list https://t.co/BeqUA0pkqL
